Privacy & GDPR
Kansanhuuto is committed to data minimisation and transparency. We collect only what is necessary for clearly stated purposes. A full privacy policy compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is being developed and will be published here before any high-risk data collection channels go fully live.
Current data practices in brief: Contact and application forms send data directly to Kansanhuuto via Formspree. Story submissions are handled with strict confidentiality. Member registration is managed through Yhdistysavain, which has its own GDPR-compliant data processing. This website does not use analytics tracking or advertising cookies.
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@embervibecamp.com.
Questions about data handling that are not answered here can be sent directly to info@embervibecamp.com. We will respond in plain language, not legal boilerplate.
Stories, submissions & consent
This section explains how Kansanhuuto handles material submitted through the story submission form, secure submission channel, or directly via email.
Confidentiality. All submissions are treated as confidential by default. We do not share, quote, or publish submitted material without explicit consent from the person who submitted it.
Anonymity. Anonymous submissions are accepted. Choosing to submit anonymously means we receive the content but not your identity. We will not attempt to identify you from the submission itself.
Publication consent. We ask at the time of submission what level of use you consent to: private only, ask me first, or anonymised use. We honour these preferences. If we ever want to use your material in a way that goes beyond what you originally consented to, we will ask again.
Safety review. Not all submitted material will be used publicly. Before any story appears in The Vault, an investigation, or any other public output, it goes through a review process that considers legal risk, safety implications, and whether publication serves the public interest.
Right to withdraw. You may withdraw consent for any submitted material at any time, including after it has been used, subject to what is technically reversible at that point. Contact us at info@embervibecamp.com to withdraw consent.
Accessibility
Kansanhuuto is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
Current accessibility features include semantic HTML structure, keyboard navigation support, ARIA labels on interactive elements, sufficient colour contrast, and mobile-responsive design. The site does not use auto-playing audio or video with sound.
A formal accessibility statement will be published once a full audit has been completed. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please contact us at info@embervibecamp.com and describe the issue. We will respond and work to fix it.
